Biography: Teller is one half of the magician act Penn and Teller, who along with fellow illusionist Penn Jillette has been performing since 1975. Teller, formally a teacher is known for not speaking during their act, except on rare occasions.
The duo became successful on Broadway in New York in the late 1980s. They also became known for their various TV guest appearances including on "Babylon 5", "Hollywood Squares" and "The West Wing". In the 1990s they performed in national tours across the US.
Their first dedicated TV show was "Bullshit!" (2003-10), which took a skeptical look at various topics and has been followed by "Penn & Teller Tell a Lie" on the Discovery Channel and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us," on ITV and the CW.
They are also the authors of a number of books on magic.
